I'm going botak!! Yes! Like those people that you see in that--> picture!

Children's Cancer foundation is organising an event called the "Hair For Hope" This event is what I have chosen to do in solidarity of children with cancer and in celebration of their courage.

Through this symbolic gesture, we aim to:

  1. Tell every child with cancer and their their families that they are not alone in the fight.
  2. Help raise funds for Children’s Cancer Foundation through monetary pledges, to aid the Foundation in improving the quality of lives of our children and their families.
  3. Create awareness of childhood cancer in Singapore.

Why Shave Heads? Patients’ hair loss, from treatments of cancer such as chemotherapy, is a representation of his or her courageous fight against cancer. Through the symbolic gesture of shaving our heads, we hope to lend moral support to all children with cancer, and to let them know that there is nothing wrong with being bald.

You too can take part in this event by:

  1. Pledge through donation cards
  2. Pledge online: http://www.ccf.org.sg/hfh/online/pledge.php?shavee=g2m8ns0rxf85nv7qdclwbqy3ph2e6225
  3. Or, take part in this event by coming down to shave your heads and help raise funds on either the 23 July or 30 July. For more info, please refer to http://www.ccf.org.sg/hfh/index.php

By the way, I'll be shaving on the 23 July at the 2:45pm time slot, at the basement of Suntec, next to the Fountain of Wealth. Do come and support me and remember to bring your money!
