Playing and Leading

Thursday, October 30, 2008

We were invited to play for Gracehaven's camp last night. Stephanie wasn't able to come play and Ben wasn't able to come practice on Sat, so I decided to play the guitar myself.

I enjoyed the worship, I think some of the youths did too, but not many sang and the feedback was that the songs were too new for them.

I don't think I will want to play and lead unless necessary. Cos I really enjoy just singing. To be playing at the same time is just too distracting.

Going on Trips

Monday, October 27, 2008

Yeah! November is coming and I will be going for 2 trips!

First, I'll be heading for Hong Kong, where I'm going to attend some conference on Officership. This is a fully paid trip by TSA and haha, I'm so looking forward to all the delicious food!

Then at the end of the month, I'll be going to Puli, Taiwan with the youths for the territorial camp. I think thats gonna be one cool camp and my "godson" is coming along too!

So looking forward to these 2 breaks before rushing for new set-up by the end of the year.

Btw, anyone wants to work for me? I need a youth worker.

True Wealth

Wednesday, October 15, 2008

I was watching a show today and the old man said that true wealth is not measured by how much money you have; but by the number of family and friends around you.

These 4 weeks and ex-student came to help out in the programme and he didn't ask for anything in return. His help was great and extremely timely.

Invest in others with a genuine heart. Not all will, but those that return will bless you greatly.

Updates

Monday, October 06, 2008

I realised that I haven't been blogging much lately. Ever since the "retrenchment" from Salvation Army and setting up of the business, I have been relatively busy. Now that I have to wake up very early to be in school, I spend a lot of time at night stoning and going to bed early. Plus, my PC at home has gone mad, which is why I don't spend a lot of time online nowadays (Thank God for my new laptop).

The business has taken off quite well and we are slowly getting on route. Thanks to the many help we have along the way. The website is also done up, after sometime of figuring out the basics of Dreamweaver.

Have a look and please help to spread the news around. http://www.treasuredjourneys.net
